Chef Archna Malhotra Becker is the creative force behind Bhojanic, a highly acclaimed Indian restaurant in the greater Atlanta area. Over her 23-year career, she has received numerous awards, including "Best Indian Restaurant" recognitions from Creative Loafing, the Atlanta Journal Constitution, and Atlanta Magazine. In 2011, Bhojanic was named one of Atlanta’s 50 Best Restaurants. Archna’s culinary journey began in India, where she learned to cook alongside her grandmother. After moving to the U.S. at age 11, she convinced her parents to help her start a catering business, Atlanta North Indian Cuisine (ANIC), which became well-known for catering high-profile events and gaining ongoing contracts with Grammy-winning artists.
Building on her catering success, Archna opened Bhojanic, a restaurant that offers authentic home-style Indian food in both full meals and tapas-style small plates. The restaurant’s popularity has led to its expansion, including a second location in Buckhead in 2013 and a food truck in 2015. Archna's commitment to authenticity, along with her family's involvement in the business, has contributed to Bhojanic's rapid growth. The restaurant has won Creative Loafing’s Reader’s Choice "Best Indian Restaurant" award for seven consecutive years. Archna has also served on the board of the Georgia Restaurant Association and was nominated for Restaurateur of the Year in 2013.
